However, 11.67–19.8% of adolescents have developed an addiction to Internet use, which impairs these individuals’ psychological well-being, peer and family interactions, and academic performance [1–3]. Males, adolescents with higher sensation seeking, and boys with lower self esteem are at higher risk for Internet addiction [1,4]. Early detection of adolescents with Internet addiction and execution of intervention programs are necessary.
